The Value File
A practical companion to The Discipline of Worth
Your employer may know you are useful while the wider market has little evidence of what you produce. The Value File helps you record a specific result, your contribution and where approved supporting evidence can be found.
This free three-page PDF includes two worked examples and a worksheet you can type into or print.
What a record can look like
Illustrative example
My action: I identified a duplicated charge in the invoices I reviewed and helped revise the billing checklist. A supervisor approved the change, and the billing team applied it.
Observed result: The checked invoices were corrected. Later complaint trends and financial savings were not measured.
No email address or book purchase required. Use a compatible PDF viewer to type into the worksheet, or print it and complete it by hand.
Keep confidential employer, customer, patient and client information out unless you are authorized to retain it. Keep entries brief and check that all text is visible before printing.
